Red Dead Redemption 2 didn’t get a new update in a long time, so it was nice to welcome watching some new content added to the game on July 28, 2020! If you are hoping for some new things that involve animals, it will happen a lot because of the role of the newly added nature. There is also a new breed of horses, horse equipment, weapons, weapon modifications, hairstyles, emotions, walking style, camp flags, photo studio backgrounds and studio photo mode!
The main attraction of this update for RDR 2 is the new Naturalist role. This will open up the ability to engage in tracking, studying and hunting different animals. To reach this role, head to the Strawberry Welcome Center to purchase the Sample Kit from Harriet Davenport!
There are also seven new species of mythical animals, along with three different subspecies, which can be found in Red Dead Online. You can find some of these by purchasing maps from Harriet Davenport, others will be available to you as you progress through the role of Naturalist! These are the new legendary animals that you should be able to face: Cougar, Fox, Boar, Beaver, Wolf, Bison and Elk.
There are two new types of Naturalist roles that are associated with free roaming events and can be found on Red Dead Online. These will also be available as you progress through the role of Naturalist. You can protect legendary animals, as you work with others to accompany an animal away from hunters. You can also participate in tagging wild animals, and you will calm them and add a tag to them within a certain time period.
Wilderness Camp has been added to the RDO, which can be unlocked as a Naturalist! You will be able to create temporary camping sites in the open world, hang out with four players while sitting, cooking, craft and rest!
There are a lot of things to research, so be sure to check out the official notes Rockstar Games website!
